The bright red imperial robe is one of the imperial gowns of the Qing Dynasty. It is a sacrificial costume worn by emperors during the Spring Equinox festival at the Sun Altar. This robe has a round neck, a large front and a right lapel, horseshoe sleeves, and a shawl attached. The lower garment of the upper garment is connected to the upper garment. The train opens to the left, and is decorated with copper, gold, and floral buttons. The border is decorated with a blue dragon miscellaneous treasure woven gold satin and a flat gold edge, with a silver mouse skin edge inlaid and a lake colored entangled chrysanthemum dark flower satin lining. The neckline is marked with two ink and yellow paper stickers, one with the name “Ren Zong”; A book titled “Renzong Embroidered a Red Satin Face Dyed with Silver Rat Skin Edges and Cladding a Gown”. The body of the robe is decorated with a combination of two to four color halos and a method of removing halos. Various embroidery techniques are used to embroider patterns such as cloud dragons.
