Tufted yellow carpet with small bunches

[Tufted Yellow Tuanhua Carpet]

Tuanhua Yellow Tuanhua Carpet, woven in Xinjiang during the Qing Dynasty. It is 310 centimeters long and 170 centimeters wide. The old collection of the Qing Palace
The carpet is made of cotton warp and weft yarns, with five strands of warp yarn in one strand and three strands of weft yarn in one strand. The twist direction is in a “Z” shape. The fleece part is tied with a “8” shaped buckle using colored silk threads, with 117 colored weft threads rising every 30.5cm. The entire blanket is woven with wood red, gold yellow, green, moon white, orange yellow, and white threads, with seven large and small carpet edges, respectively decorated with bead patterns and flower patterns. The carpet heart weaves five flower patterns on the yellow ground. “Five branch flowers are traditional patterns in Xinjiang, with branches as the skeleton, symmetrically holding five small flowers, arranged repeatedly from top to bottom, left to right.”. The design looks like a blooming winter jasmine, so it is deeply loved by Uighurs
The carpet has a firm fastener, a smooth surface, and a vibrant pattern against the backdrop of color. The drawback is that the five flowers are too stylized and slightly stiff
