As livestock closely related to the production and life of Chinese ancestors, sheep have been given a certain mysterious color since ancient times. People often associate the name of sheep with human disasters and blessings, such as “sheep disasters” and “hanging sheep on the head door to eliminate thieves”. They also associate “sheep” with “auspicious”, and write “auspicious” as “auspicious sheep”. In Hanwa, there is also the word “big auspicious sheep”. In addition, the ancients believed that “beauty” and “goodness” were both related to sheep, so using sheep as decoration was often used to express auspicious and beautiful wishes
