Jasper Beast Face Pattern Double Barrel Flower Arrangement, Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, height 8.3 cm, single caliber 3.3 × 2.9 cm
The flower arrangement is made of jasper and has black spots. Both sides of the cylinder are standing side by side, and there are connecting circular shafts under each cylinder, which can be opened and closed. When closed, the two cylinders are standing side by side, and when opened, they form a straight shape. The cylinder is full of carved animal face patterns and hook cloud patterns. The bottom of the device is a rectangular flat surface, and the regular script “Qing Emperor Qianlong Antique” is engraved in yin
There are many pieces of this type of jade left in the Qing Dynasty palace, with different jade colors and names, or flower arrangements, or ritual heads. It is unclear what the names depend on, and the methods of use are still to be studied.
