Blue Jade Kui Dragon Pattern Jue, Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, with a height of 12.7 cm and a cup diameter of 4.8 × 11.6 cm, foot pitch 4.6 cm, disc diameter 14 cm, foot diameter 9.8 cm
It is made of jue green jade with a slight sugar color. The cup body is short and thick, with three tapered feet. The lower part of the flow mouth is decorated with thunder patterns, decorated with Kui dragon patterns, and the abdomen is also decorated with thunder patterns, decorated with animal facial patterns. There is a tray under the cup, and a raised tripod shaped platform is carved inside the tray to embed the cup feet. There are four hanging cloud feet under the plate. On the bottom of the plate, there is engraved a seal script made in the year of Qianlong
The Jue Cup is modeled after the bronze Jue of the Shang and Zhou dynasties, and its decorative patterns are mostly from ancient Yi artifacts. However, the trays under it have the characteristics of the Qing Dynasty. During the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, imitation ancient cups of this type were found in various handicrafts such as jade, porcelain, and enamel.
