[Qianlong style furnace Jun glaze cong bottle]
furnace Jun glaze cong bottle, Qing Qianlong, height 37.3 cm, caliber 8.6 cm, foot diameter 12.1 cm
The bottle is modeled after a jade cong, with a short neck, folded shoulders, square bellies, and high rounded feet. The corners of the belly are embossed with eight trigrams. The whole body is painted with Lujun glaze, with a blue and purple glaze surface and mottled colors. The outer bottom is engraved with six characters and three lines of characters in seal script “made in the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty.”
In the Qianlong Dynasty, the Lujun glaze was mainly composed of blue, green, and moon-white glazes, with a small glaze flow, and blue glaze dots were common, resulting in richer shapes. This article imitates the shape of jade cong from the Zhou Dynasty. It is simple and thick, with a fresh and elegant glaze color. The sky blue and lavender blend to set off each other, and has an extraordinary artistic effect.
