Jiulao Drawing Axis of Kesi

[Jiulao Picture Axis of Kesi]

Jiulao Picture Axis of Kesi, Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, 180 centimeters vertically and 93 centimeters horizontally
The original painting manuscript is unknown, but it has the painting style of Qiu Ying, a painter of the Ming Dynasty. This picture shows the style and features of the original work with the combination of kazak and painting. The common flat kazak and build kazak techniques are used to cut the outline of the image, and the strokes are used to paint the rocks and pine branches. The subtle points are supplemented by complex and changeable kazak techniques, such as the use of long and short poles for mountain slope shading, the use of wooden combed poles for deer body, and the use of structural kazak for flowers and peaches, which better represent the texture of the image and the beautiful and delicate figure painting style of the original work. The figure in this drawing has an accurate and vivid shape, finely woven tapestry with meticulous brushwork, and freehand brushwork with ink rendering. The style is elegant and refined. There are two seals such as “Ziqing” on the picture.
