[Rehe Examination Paper for Embroidery Royal Brush]

Rehe Examination Paper for Embroidery Royal Brush, Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, 34cm in length and 492cm in width. The old collection of the Qing Palace
Rehe, or Wulieshui, is a tributary of the Luanhe River, flowing through Chengde, Hebei. Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty once sent the prefecture king and inner ministers of the Mongolian Karaqin Banner to inspect Rehe, and wrote an imperial examination of Rehe. For the original text, see Volume 21 of the second volume of “Gao Zong Yu Zhi Wen”. The article believes that Rehe is the water of the ancient Wulieshui River, and states: “The three sources both converge and flow southwestward. Along the northeast of the villa, under the Hammer Peak, there are also hot springs flowing out of the palace of the villa, which gave rise to the name of Rehe.”
This embroidery is made by imitating this imperial article of Emperor Qianlong. Embroider characters with black silk thread on the colored silk floor. The embroidery thread is finely chopped and smoothly transported, resulting in the elegant and elegant ink tone of the original work. The heading is embroidered with the running script “The Source of the Military Expedition”, and the upper center is embroidered with a seal of “Emperor Qianlong’s Brush” on a red thread. The scroll head is embroidered with three square seals: “Five Blessings and Five Dynasties Hall Ancient and Rare Treasure of the Heavenly Son”, “Eight Symbols and Eight Concepts Treasure”, and “Tour the Six Artistic Gardens”. The signature of the scroll tail embroidery is: “Wuzi wrote on the mid autumn moon with a royal brush”, and “Wuzi” was written in the 33rd year of Qianlong’s reign (1768). Embroider three Zhuwen seals: “Qian”, “Long”, and “Lin Chi in a few spare moments.”
