Double Child Red Sandalwood Duobao Table

[Double Child Red Sandalwood Multi Treasure Grid Table]

Double Child Red Sandalwood Multi Treasure Grid Table, with a bell in the Qing Palace, was built during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, with a height of 66 centimeters, a width of 60 centimeters, and a thickness of 30 centimeters
On the base, a cluster of clouds rises from the red sandalwood board. On the clouds, there are lacquer painted glass doors and red sandalwood cabinets. Two children are made of enamel and have dental heads, holding the cabinets with both hands. Open the cabinet door, and inside it is a treasure box where treasures are placed. The two needle clock is on the top of the cabinet, with the inscription “Geo. Beefield London” engraved inside the movement. This clock cabinet is a work of the Qing Dynasty Palace Fabrication Office, while the watch was made in London. It is a Chinese and Western combination of clocks and watches
There are still three or four clocks in the Palace Museum with the same design as this one. Judging from the other few pieces, this clock is defective. It should have a red sandalwood rectangular corner Sumita seat, with a height of about 10 centimeters, and the waist and fence are inlaid with enamel
