Qianlong style imitation vermilion lacquer chrysanthemum petal cover bowl, Qing Dynasty Qianlong style, with a height of 9.1 cm, a diameter of 11.5 cm, and a foot diameter of 4.5 cm
The bowl has a chrysanthemum shaped shape, a deep curved belly, and rounded feet that lean outward. Attached is a chrysanthemum petal shaped cover with a raised surface, and a circular grip button is placed at the top of the cover. Inside the cover is a poem written by the Emperor Qianlong in gold color: “The system is of the chrysanthemum style, with the handle lighter than the chrysanthemum. When sipping tea and combining the pottery sentences, the dew is added to the glaze.” The inside and outside of the bowl are coated with imitation red lacquer glaze, with realistic color and texture. The outsole is embossed with a gold colored seal character “made in the Qianlong era” in four characters and double lines
The covered bowl belongs to a tea drinking appliance, and tea drinking is an elegant thing for literati. Emperor Qianlong loved tea and often wrote poems to taste tea. Many ceramic tea sets were inscribed with Emperor Qianlong’s poems
