[Purple Sand Baiguo Pot]

Purple Sand Baiguo Pot, Qing Qianlong, 14 cm high, 5 cm caliber, 2.2 cm foot diameter
The body of the pot is circular, with sculptured fruits cleverly forming a flow, handle, lid, foot, etc. The cover surface and cover button are inverted mushrooms, with peanuts, melon seeds, Yundou, jujube, lotus seeds, and other nuts attached to the shoulder. The flow is a lotus root node, and the handle is a water chestnut. Near the bottom, lychees, lotus seeds, walnuts, and lotus seeds are attached, among which the three fruits of walnut, lotus seed, and cigu are larger, forming three feet. The bottom center is decorated with a small flower shaped false foot support. The entire pot body is decorated with more than a dozen types of fruits, with lifelike fruit shapes, reflecting the extraordinary skill of purple sand artisans during the Qianlong period in producing simulated flowers and fruits
The Hundred Fruit Pot, also known as the Flower and Fruit Pot, was founded by the famous Chen Mingyuan in the early Qing Dynasty and was quite popular during the Qianlong and Jiaqing periods. When making, it is difficult to modulate various shades of sand according to the color of the fruit. In the early years of the Republic of China, there was a lot of mass production and circulation, but the production level of the product is far from that of this pot.
