Copper Plated Enamel to Duck Lotus Vase Clock, located at the Palace of the Qing Dynasty, Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, with a height of 122 centimeters and a cylinder diameter of 49 centimeters
The belly of the lotus vat is decorated with flower and butterfly patterns, and the upper and lower edges are respectively surrounded by cloud head patterns and sea water patterns. The front of the abdomen is equipped with a clock plate, surrounded by red and green stones. The surface of the tank shows the tranquil water surface with a glass mirror, with a circle of herons in the center. A lotus pond landscape is arranged in the tank, with three lotus flowers that can open and close. In the heart of the flower, the Queen Mother of the West, the Peach Boy, and the Peach Fairy Ape are seated respectively. There are upper chord holes on the left and right sides of the clock dial. The left one is responsible for the travel time system, and the right one controls the music and movement devices
After starting, under the accompaniment of the music, the copper ring connected to the Lusi body under the mirror is mechanically pulled and rotated. The traction rod in the lotus stem is mechanically actuated, and the petals open to reveal the center of the flower. The Western Queen Mother, the Boy and the Immortal Ape, sit still, and the Boy and the White Ape kneel in the shape of a peach
This clock was assembled by craftsmen from the Qing Palace Fabrication Office using a filigree enamel jar made in Guangzhou and a French musical mechanical system.
