“Five Classics Extracted Room” Seal, made of jade during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, Pan Long Button square seal, with a printing face of 3.3 centimeters, a height of 7 centimeters, and a seal script of “Five Classics Extracted Room”. “The Five Classics Collection Room”, “The Treasure of Eight Symbols and Eight Concepts”, and “Self improvement” are printed in a group and stored in a wooden box together
The “Eight Symbols” and “Self improvement” seals were frequently used by Emperor Qianlong in his later years. For ease of use, Emperor Qianlong ordered the manufacture of dozens of square “Eight Symbols and Eight Concepts Treasures” and “Self improvement”, which were combined with different palace name seals to form a composite seal. This is one of them. The Five Classics Collection Room is located in the Zhaoren Hall. In the second year of Jiaqing (1797), the Qianqing Palace caught fire and affected the Zhaoren Hall. This is printed with traces of being burned by the fire.
