The auspicious robe is the auspicious robe of the Empress of the Qing Dynasty, also known as the dragon robe. According to the Qing Dynasty code, there are three types of empress dragon robes, and this is one of them. The patterns embroidered on the Dragon Robe employ a variety of needle techniques, such as covering, aligning, connecting, rolling, stitching, tying, seeding, flat gold, and plate gold. The sea water is composed of five colors: red, blue, green, yellow, and crimson. Each color is tinted with a pair of pins to form two shades of color. The five colors are alternated with white, and both are applied with a double gold line as a dividing line, enriching the sea water layers and displaying a sparkling effect. The cloud pattern is mainly colored with sky blue, paired with red, green, and white, making it more colorful and elegant. Dragon pattern embroidery is the most delicate, with a variety of stitches used in combination. The face is flat and gold, the eyes and nose are aligned, the beard and hair are covered with needles, the teeth are seeded, the dorsal fin, tail fin, and claw nail are stitched, and the scales overlap with each other, highlighting and vividly displaying the vitality and rhythm of the golden dragon.
