The jar has a straight mouth, a short neck, ample shoulders, gradually narrowing under the abdomen, and a flat bottom with shallow feet. Attach a flat top straight edge round cover. The whole body is decorated with combat colors, with a blue and white string line painted along the mouth, lotus petal patterns painted on the shoulders and near the feet, and six lotus branches wrapped around the abdomen. The cover is painted with blue and white lotus patterns. The outer bottom is painted with white glaze, and the center is decorated with blue and white regular script “Tian” characters
The Doucai Tianzi jar appeared during the Chenghua period of the Ming Dynasty, and was named after the word “Tian” in the book on the bottom of the jar. The shape, decoration, and style of this jar are all modeled after the Huacai Tianzi jar. The body glaze is fine, clean, and white, and the color is fresh and elegant. It is an exquisite piece of imitation Huacai ware from the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty.
