Carved Red Elegant Collection Treasure Box

[Picked Red Elegant Collection Treasure Box]

Picked Red Elegant Collection Treasure Box, Qing Qianlong, 11.6 cm high, 33 cm caliber. The old collection of the Qing Palace
The box is round, with a flat cover and low circular feet. The whole body is painted with red paint. The cover has a circular light opening, and the interior is carved with single line back sky brocade and water wave brocade patterns, respectively representing different spaces. In the middle of the picture, there are towering mountains, lush plantains and pine leaves, and an open space in front of the mountains. An elegant collection of literati is carved on the brocade ground with the character “Swastika” on the back of the tortoise shell. A bearded elder is waving a sprinkling of ink, while the two elders on the left and right and the two attendants behind are gazing with smiles. The characters have delicate eyebrows and vivid expressions. The tortoise back brocade on the wall is carved with various patterns of round flowers on the ground, which has a strong three-dimensional effect. This decorative pattern and carving technique is the style of the Qianlong period in the Qing Dynasty. The upper and lower edges of the box are continuously embossed. The bottom of the box is painted with black paint and engraved with the regular script inscription “Made in the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty”. On the black paint inside the cover, there is a knife engraved with gold and the four character name “Elegant Collection Treasure Box” on the ground
