The copper furnace is round and looks like a tripod. The lips are rounded, slightly extravagant, with a rounded neck, a bulging belly, and three breasts and feet. On the outer sole of the device, there is a regular script with three lines and six characters in reduced Yangwen, which reads, “Made in the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty.”
This furnace has a thick shape and fine copper texture. The bottom style is extremely refined. There are two types of Qianlong artifacts that have been handed down in the world and have the date of the national dynasty: one is the seal script style “made in the year of Qianlong” surrounded by two dragons, and the other is the regular script style “made in the year of Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty.” However, only the latter type of style can be seen in the old collection of Xuan bronze wares in the Qing palace.
