This picture is woven from a tapestry of Emperor Qianlong’s imperial painting. Although the painting is not exquisite, it pays attention to elegance and interest. Although the strokes and colors are childish and inflexible, they have a noble aura and are rich in the charm of literati painting. In order to trace the artistic conception of the original painting, which is rather clumsy than skillful, the weavers of the tapestry also use simple techniques such as flat tapestry, overlapping tapestry, and long and short tapestry instead of pursuing complex and varied tapestry techniques. They only use the changes in the depth of the color to express the texture of mountains and stones, as well as the three-dimensional sense of bamboo, and better reproduce the charm of the original painting
In the scroll of the poem, the inscription and postscript of the Emperor Qianlong’s imperial pen are inscribed, with two seals engraved in Zhu script “Qian” and white script “Long”, and 10 seals sealed, including “Treasure of the Emperor Qianlong’s Imperial View”, “Qianlong Appreciation”, “Shiqu Treasure Collection”, “Three Compilations of Treasure Collection”, “Sanxi Tang Jing Jian Seal”, and “Yi Zi”
