Ivory Carved Nine Old Figure Armrest, 17.3 cm long, 3.9 cm wide, and 1.1 cm thick
The arm rest is long and tiled. The obverse is carved with a birthday star, with a chest and side head, a kindly smile, undressed and wearing cloud shaped shoes, and a scroll in hand. On the back is carved the “Nine Old Men”, with cliffs, clear springs, interlaced trees, and winding mountain roads. The nine old men either cross the bridge with sticks, meet each other in the mountains, or talk eloquently. Although they are as small as beans, they have a clear expression. In the distance, there are heavy mountains of clouds and smoke, and the towers are looming. It’s a feat of taking in a thousand miles
