Blue jade square cauldron type furnace

[Blue Jade Square Tripod Type Furnace]

Blue Jade Square Tripod Type Furnace, mid Qing Dynasty, with a height of 13.5 cm and a diameter of 10.1 × 7.1 cm
The furnace is made of sapphire and has a good material. The vessel is rectangular in shape, with one facing ear on each side and four Kui shaped feet. The furnace body is decorated with the same patterns on all sides, with Kui patterns on the lower edge of the mouth, and animal face patterns on the abdomen as the main decoration, with eight halberds
This furnace is a furnishings item with obvious antique characteristics. Its shape is similar to the bronze square tripod of the Shang Dynasty. The animal shaped flat feet have the characteristics of the bronze feet of the late Shang Dynasty. The animal face patterns and Kui patterns were also popular decorative patterns at that time. Among the Qing Dynasty jade artifacts collected in the Palace Museum, this artifact is a representative of the ancient Yi artifacts.
