Gold Carved Flowers Ruyi, mid Qing Dynasty, 58 cm long, 16.5 cm wide at the head
The upper part of the body is convex, the back is flat, and the three parts of the head, middle, and tail are outwardly inflated in an elliptical shape. Its shape is modeled on the popular pattern of three inlays of Ruyi in the court of the mid Qing Dynasty. The whole body is carved and carved with intertwined flowers, with complex and exquisite patterns. Its interior is hollow, and its three parts, the head, middle, and tail, are respectively provided with shaped oval covers. They are connected to the body with hinges, allowing for the placement of spices. The design is extremely ingenious. The three covers all use tourmaline as the petals, pearls as the core, rubies as the petals, and jadeite as the leaves to form a flower pattern. The upper edge of the cover, the upper edge of the entire device, and the back edge are all covered with tourmalines, jadeite, sapphires, and beads, forming a gemstone decorative band with alternate colors, and the amount used exceeds 100 pieces. Match with yellow longevity character knot and lower silk spike.
