[Three-layer box with colorful ichthyosaur changeable pattern sunflower petal type]
Three-layer box with colorful ichthyosaur changeable pattern sunflower petal type, middle of Qing Dynasty, 21.5cm high, 16.5cm abdominal diameter. The old collection of the Qing Palace
The box has a sunflower petal-shaped mouth, a three-impact type, and the bottom bears four Ruyi head-shaped short feet. The whole body is painted with green paint to carve sea water, and red paint to carve fish and dragon patterns. The cover is carved with dragon patterns on the front, and the box wall carved fish and dragons chase the flying fireball in the green wave. The shape is indistinct and changeable, forming the picture of “fish and dragon changing”. The inside of the box is painted with black paint, decorated with gold folding patterns, and the bottom is painted with black paint, without money
The knife is delicate, skilled in carving and exquisite in craftsmanship. The carved red lacquered fish and dragon are now in the green paint. Different from the past, the green paint is partially decorated with red paint and then carved with fish and dragon patterns, which is a new development of the lacquer carving process in the middle of the Qing Dynasty
