Ye Gong and his wife are happy with music

[Ye Gong couple music map ink]

Ye Gong couple music map ink, Qing Yongzheng, 7 cm long, 1.8 cm wide, and 0.7 cm thick
The ink rectangle is filled with three characters of “Le Zhi Tu” in the gold regular script on the ink surface. The next title is the regular script in the form of “supervised by the couple of She Ye”. The back of the ink is carved with a dragon pattern, and the side of the ink is the regular script in the form of “Yongzheng Yi’s summer month”
This ink was made in the third year of Yongzheng (Yisi, 1725), when Emperor Yongzheng was not long after his succession to the throne and was beginning to eliminate political enemies. “Le Zhi” is a classic of Chuang Tzu’s “South China Classic”, in which Boyi and Shuqi were praised for “high integrity and violent behavior, and being happy with their ambition, and not doing anything in the world.” The ink maker took the “Le Zhi Tu” as the inscription or reflected the mentality of the literati in the specific historical background
