[Copper gilded white porcelain flower clock]
Copper gilded white porcelain flower clock, England, 18th century, 54 cm high, 43 cm wide and 32 cm thick
The gold-plated copper flower branch has a two-needle disk clock, and the flower leaves are inlaid with open white porcelain flowers. There is a gold-plated phoenix on the top of the clock, and a unicorn lies under the clock. This clock has three functions: running time, playing time and playing music
The phoenix is the king of birds in ancient Chinese legends, and the unicorn is the auspicious animal in ancient Chinese legends, symbolizing good luck. This is a clock specially made for China. Made by Thomas Gardner in London.
