Copper gilded elephant chariot bell

[Copper gilded elephant chariot bell]

Copper gilded elephant chariot bell, 70 cm high, 136 cm long and 55 cm wide
This clock is shaped like a strong elephant pulling a four-wheeled chariot, which carries 11 officers and soldiers on its back. The elephant and car body are made of copper gilded glass
There are 6 sets of clockwork in total, including 4 sets for starting the chariot activity and 2 sets for clockwork. The spring in the belly of the elephant can make the eyes of the elephant rotate and the nose and tail of the elephant swing. The next fixed wheel of the elephant belly determines the direction of the chariot. There is a copper cylinder at the front of the chariot, on which drums, horns and weapons are mounted. The spring in the cylinder drives the cylinder to rotate. This is the only power source for the chariot to start. The square box behind the copper cylinder has a spring inside it, which controls the commander’s turn on the square box. The trunk at the rear of the car is a music box with a spring inside and two wheels under the car. The top chord is at the elephant belly, copper tube, square box and music box. The chariot moves along the arc track, and the elephant and the figure move simultaneously
This musical clock is made in England and should be around 1770.
