Copper gilded turnstone earth pavilion clock, England, 18th century, 68 cm high, 36 cm square at the bottom
Copper gilded octagonal base is decorated with hollow flowers. The front has an arched door, and the door cabinet is decorated with red and white stone. There are two needle clock dials in the door. There are two small dials on the upper end of the clock, one on the left and one on the right. The left is the solar calendar dial, and the right is the music stop dial. There is a blue and white stone ball between the two small plates
There is also a small pavilion on the clock with a copper-plated tower inside. When the machine starts, driven by the walking machine, the stone earth keeps rotating. The white side is seen in the daytime and the blue side is seen at night. Rotate every 24 hours. Made by Robert Philip in London.
