The King Buddha of Music on the yin body is the Vajra of Music, with blue double bodies and twelve arms on all sides. The colors on the four sides are different, with blue in the middle, yellow on the right, green on the left and red, respectively representing four causes and virtues, such as surrender, gain and respect. There are three eyes on each side, which means that you can look into the past, present and future. Wearing a skull crown indicates impermanence and bravery. The main body is dark blue, with white elephant skin on the back and tiger skin skirt around the waist, which symbolizes fearlessness and courage. The prayer beads strung from 50 skulls on the neck represent all the classics of Buddhism. The twelve arms hold various kinds of magic tools, the main arm holds the Vajra pestle and Vajra bell respectively, and also embraces the Princess Vajra Pam. The face of the Buddha mother is red, indicating the love curtain and warm feelings. At the top left of the picture is an Indian great achiever, at the top right is the founder of the Yellow Sect, and at the bottom of the picture is the six-armed dark sky
This Thangka is a Tantric Buddha carved on the ground in the natural color. The weft line is set with a combination of color fading and interhalo. It uses a variety of tapestry techniques such as flat tapestry, structural tapestry, long and short tapestry, wooden comb tapestry, phoenix tail tapestry, wrapped core tapestry, etc., and is partially painted
On the back of the statue, there is a white silk label, on which the inscription is written in four characters of Han, Manchu, Mongolian and Tibetan. The Chinese text is: “On the fifth day of November of the forty-sixth year of Qianlong’s reign, the emperor ordered Zhang Jiahu Tuketu to recognize the sacrificial benefit of the tapestry Yin body of the king Buddha of music…”.
