Bronze Plated Elephant Pipa Pendulum, England, 18th century, 129 cm high, 50 cm wide and 36 cm thick
The four corners of the base of the clock are made of lions. There is a landscape painting on the front of the music box on the lower floor, and there is a second floor door inside. On the music box, an elephant carries a pipa-shaped ring inlaid with stones, and hangs a two-needle clock. The clock dial displays the time, minute, calendar, and New Year’s Day respectively. The clock is a pipa pendulum. An Indian who kneels on the head of an elephant and has a turban on his head. There are stone flowers and five pineapple flowers in the belly and behind the tail of the elephant
When the machine starts, the door of the music box at the bottom opens automatically, and the door at the first floor opens.
