[Colorful Yingluo Bamba Pot]
Colorful Yingluo Bamba Pot, in the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty, was 23.2 cm high, 5 cm in diameter and 9.1 cm in foot diameter
The shape of the vessel imitates the form of the Tibetan silver bamba pot. The shape is slightly like a tower, and the mouth and flow are covered. It is novel and unique. The pot has a straight mouth, a curved flow, a round belly, and a bowl-shaped supporting ring under it, with the sole of the foot leaning outward. The whole body is divided into different units by the white milk nail pattern. The lotus petal pattern, Ruyi cloud pattern, fire cloud pattern and other patterns are painted with color, and the animal face wreath pattern on the abdomen is the theme pattern
The appearance of religious themes on the imperial kiln porcelain in the Qing Dynasty was a reflection of the national religious policy at that time. It not only enabled the Tibetan culture style to spread in the Qing court, but also promoted the cultural exchange among the upper classes of Han, Tibetan, Manchu and Mongolian. The Bamba pot is a sacred offering in temples in Tibetan areas, while the porcelain Bamba pot fired in the imperial kiln of the Qing Dynasty is a reward given by the Qing Emperor to religious leaders in Tibet, Qinghai and other places. This doucai Yingluo Bamba pot perfectly combines the Tibetan traditional utensil shape and decoration with the Han nationality’s long ceramic firing process. It is a historical witness of the cultural exchanges between different ethnic groups in the Qing Dynasty.
