Kangxi style painted enamel peony pattern begonia flower basket, Kangxi style of Qing Dynasty, 13.5 cm high, 16.5-17 cm diameter
The flower basket is of four-petal begonia type, with a lifting beam on it and a short circle foot. The yellow enamel glaze is applied to the ground, and the large pink peonies in full bloom are painted on the ground, and the small lotus flowers in blue and lotus colors are decorated between, implying “peace, wealth and honor”. Sky blue glaze is applied inside the basket. The beam is painted with broken flowers. White glaze on the bottom and purple glaze on the official script “made by Emperor Kangxi”
This device has regular shape, warm glaze and bright color. The yellow ground throughout the body is the color feature of the mature period of Kangxi enamel painting.
