This inkstone is made of Songhua River stone and has a bright green color. The inkstone has regular yellow and white veins with transverse texture, which is the characteristic of Songhua River stone. It is rectangular, with a flat and wide inkstone surface, and the sea water cloud dragon pattern is embossed above. A mother-of-pearl inlay is embedded in the inkstone pool. The mother-of-pearl inlay has a five-color luster, creating an artistic conception of longevity and happiness, and becomes the ornament of the inkstone. The inkstone hall is round, only slightly polished, revealing the grain texture, without use marks.
