This kang table was specially made for the convenience of Emperor Kangxi’s mathematical calculation. The table top is embedded with three silver plates, which can be loaded and unloaded. The silver plates are engraved with various mathematics and hydrometers. There are 7 grids of different sizes in the chamber of the table, which are used to store tools for calculation and drawing
The middle of the table is a square silver plate for drawing and writing. There are many tables and figures on the rectangular silver plates on the left and right sides. At one end of the silver plate on the left is engraved with a micrometer with the accuracy of one thousandth, which is composed of 10 horizontal lines and oblique lines. At the center of the silver plate is engraved with five rays, marked with the words “square root” and “find the radius of the circle”. On both sides are the comparison surface table and the leveling surface table, as well as the micrometer with the “micrometer size”, which is composed of 10 horizontal lines and oblique lines. One end of the silver plate on the right is also engraved with a micrometer of 10 horizontal lines and oblique lines, which is accurate to one thousandth of a centimeter. The upper part of the ruler is engraved with five rays. The other end of the ray is engraved with the words “open cube”, “find the radius of the ball”, and “measure the pile of meters”.
