Gu Embroidery Falcon Axis

[Gu Embroidery Falcon Picture Axis]

Gu Embroidery Falcon Picture Axis, in the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty, 96 cm vertically and 44 cm horizontally
This painting is based on the scene of a hunter bending his bow and shooting eagles galloping in the mountains. The samurai Kun hair narrow robe, with straps and boots, is a typical northern nomadic riding and shooting costume. The hunter sat on the horse’s back, looked back at the bow strings, and drew arrows ready to go. The arrowheads pointed to the sky to mark the rainbow. The mountains in the distance are green and blue, and the nearby pines stand out, revealing the vast and quiet mountains
The painting is made of white silk, with green, sapphire blue, light crimson, black gray and other colored threads, and stitches such as flat cover, seed beating and gold plate. The description of the distant mountains and pines is relatively simple. The distant mountains are only edged with rolling needles and dotted with light colors; Cang pine needles are mostly painted and dyed. However, the embroideries of the characters’ clothing and harness are extremely delicate, such as the delicate hair and whiskers, and the gold patterns of the clothes are clearly visible; The harness accessories are embroidered with plate gold, showing the luster and texture of metal. At the top of the picture, there are two sentences in Wang Wei’s “Hunting” poem of the Tang Dynasty written in ink: “The grass is withered and the eagle’s eyes are diseased, and the snow is as light as the horse’s hoof.” At the end of the poem, the ink thread embroiders the “green and green room” seal. This is one of the best embroidery products.
