[Bamboo Knight Figure Penholder]
Bamboo Knight Figure Penholder, in the early Qing Dynasty, is 13.1 cm high, 7.2 cm in diameter, and 8.2 cm in bottom diameter
The pen holder is round, inlaid with oxhorn bottom, and has three short feet. The scene of a samurai galloping on his horse is embossed on the ground. The horse’s four hoofs were lifted, and the samurai stood up and looked back, holding the bottle in both hands and pouring, and the water poured down. The horse’s hoof is set off by the smoke and dust carved in the shallow overcast line, which is quite splendid. The decorative lines of this work are refined, and the dynamics of the figures and horses are accurate. For example, the local processing of the samurai’s fingers, clothing patterns, head and feet is also quite ingenious
