[Gu Erniang’s Dongtian Yipin Duan Inkstone]
Gu Erniang’s Dongtian Yipin Duan Inkstone is 23.5cm long, 20cm wide and 3.6cm thick in the early Qing Dynasty
The inkstone is made of end stone and follows the natural shape. There is a horizontal rectangular pool above the inkstone surface. The edge of the inkstone pool is carved with Kui dragon circle patterns, and the right lower part is carved with seal characters such as “Xintian Zhenjing” and “Shiyanxuan Book”. The left side of the inkstone is engraved with the running script “If you are not beautiful, who is the most industrious”, and the next line is engraved with the regular script “Kangxi 1911 June”. The right side of the inkstone is carved with the seal script “Made by Gu Erniang of the Wu Clan”. The right half of the back of the inkstone is engraved with an inscription in regular script: “It is neither square nor round, nor carved nor polished. A little thing is polished, and moral cultivation is unconscious. If gold is smelted, it is like jade is separated from Pu. Duanzhou has many talents, and it speaks of a gentleman’s happiness.” The two regular characters of “Dianming” are signed below; On the left half of the back of the inkstone, there is a seal script inscription, “It is thick and dignified, and it is of high quality. It is warm and dense, and it is of permanent style. It is refined and refined, and it is of high quality. It is also of high quality.” The running script “Luyuan”, the seal script “Lin”, and “Ji” are engraved
Gu Erniang’s works handed down from generation to generation are mixed with authenticity. The inkstone is elegant in composition, simple in carving and excellent in workmanship, which is consistent with the artistic style of inkstone making at that time. After the appreciation of the postscript by Yu Dian and Lin Ji, the beginners of the Qing Dynasty, the style of “Wu Men Gu Erniang Made” has certain reliability.
