[Bonsai of Magu Xianshou]

The square rosewood seat is embossed with bamboo knots on its four edges, and the center of the front wall of the seat is inlaid with a square deep carved white jade board decorated with double dragons, happiness and longevity. The four sides of the seat are inlaid with burning blue leaves, rubies and pearls as lace. In the center, there is a peacock stone mountain, and a red coral phoenix with its head raised and neck extended and its wings ready to fly is independent of it. There is a wax mahogany standing on the back of the phoenix, with beautiful eyebrows, quiet and dignified, a top knot, a emerald inlaid ruby ribbon on the shoulder, and a tourmaline peach in hand. The main scenery is lined with pine trees with gold threads inlaid with pearls and longevity stones and ganoderma lucidum with gold threads inlaid with rubies
“Ma Gu Presents Life” is one of the common themes in Qing Dynasty handicrafts. This bonsai is exquisite and ingenious. It was made during the reign of Emperor Yongzheng of the Qing Dynasty. It is a bonsai treasure for the display of the queen’s birthday in the palace.
