The self-title of this painting is: “It’s refreshing to sit and listen to the pine breeze while I’m looking for a deer trail. Gengyin climbed the mountain and lived in the western suburb of Jiangcheng. He likes these two words, and suddenly writes to fill the picture. Xiang Shengmo.” The seal “Xu Shanqiao, Uncle Xiang” and other three seals. “Gengyin” is the seventh year of Shunzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1650). The Xiang family is 54 years old. “Climbing high” is an ancient custom of the Double Ninth Festival. According to the title, this picture was painted by Xiang’s family to chant beautiful sentences when they climbed the mountain with friends on the Double Ninth Festival in the seventh year of Shunzhi
