This picture vividly depicts the small scene of autumn geese calling each other. The whole picture is a vertical composition. The author skillfully draws a tall reed in the close view. Its vertical shape strengthens the connection between the two autumn geese, and becomes a main line of organically coherent images. Lu and Yan are freehand painted with splash-ink. The accurate and vivid ink shows the author’s strong ability to draw from life.
