The “19th year of Qianlong” was 1754, and Li Fangying was 58 years old
The picture shows an ancient pine tree with a strong posture, as if an old man who has experienced many vicissitudes stood in the wind. The whole painting is a representative work of Li Fangying in his later years, with simple layout, vigorous strokes and profound artistic conception, which shows the author’s upright personality.
