This small video camera is actually a small film camera box made in the West. The case is made of wood and has a gear inside. The gear rotates to drive the film, which can be viewed through the built-in lens. Although the structure is simple, it shows the shape of the camera at its inception
In 1895, the video camera was born in Paris, France. This scientific and technological achievement was quickly spread to China through corresponding channels and entered the court. According to records, in the thirtieth year of Guangxu’s reign (1904), in order to celebrate the 70th birthday of Cixi, the British envoy to Beijing once presented a camera and several rolls of film to the palace. Unfortunately, the camera was abandoned by the Empress Dowager Cixi because of the film fire during the screening process.
