This volume was painted by the artist of Ruyi Museum. It has no signature model year and belongs to the style of realistic painting. “Zhaoguan”, also known as “Zhao Guan Ji”, also known as “revenge”, is a legend, written by Sun Yu of the Ming Dynasty, which plays the story of Wu members during the Spring and Autumn Period when Wu and Chu fought. Member Wu, Zi Xu, the second son of Wu She, a doctor of the State of Chu, fled to the State of Wu because of being framed by treacherous officials. When he arrived at Zhaoguan, King Ping of Chu had ordered people to draw pictures and arrest them everywhere. The five members were invited to their home by the hermit Donggao. They were at a loss for seven days and seven nights, and their hair was white. Duke Donggao and his friend Huangfune designed to rescue five soldiers from the Zhaoguan Pass. In the thirty-ninth year of the Wanli reign of the Ming Dynasty (1611), Gong Zhengi published a book titled “The New Emblem of the Emblem and the Board of the Music”, which included “Wu Zixu’s Passing the Zhao Pass”, which was the earliest drama book of Zhaoguan seen so far. In the Qing Dynasty, there were Kunqiang Opera “Zhao Guan Ji” and Pihuang Opera “Wen Zhao Guan”. Now Beijing Opera is also known as “One Night White Beard”
