The head and face of Diancui are nearly semi-circular, with flowers and leaves hooked on the background. There is a lotus in the center of the head and face, and there are six characters around Yuanshou. There is a lotus of the same size on the top, the bottom, the left and the right. The big lotus is dotted with small lotus, and the stamens are woven with yellow silk thread. There are nine lotus flowers in total. The head and face are decorated with blue jade feathers, and some branches and leaves are decorated with dark jade feathers
The head is the decoration of mother-of-pearl on the head of the empress when wearing the auspicious dress on the auspicious occasion of the Qing Dynasty. This head is the top decoration of mother-of-pearl. The head color is bright and soft, and the style is slim and luxurious. The combination of lotus and the word “longevity” means longevity, which is a common theme of auspicious decorations in the Qing Dynasty
