The fan page has its own title: “Last year we sang a new poem together, just when the spring light was getting brighter. The flying catkins haunted the dream of Yan City, and the good wind moved Xie Tingsi. Su-wan freehand brushwork condensed the smoke and water, and the grass felt sad and parted in the sky. Looking forward to the sunny day of the official residence, the peach blossoms dyed several branches in red. The little poem was thinking of the second sister’s wife, and asked the fan to be right. The eleventh brother of Nianhua was like mist.” The seal of “Nianhua” Zhu Wenyin. Also from the title: “On the third day of Qianlong’s reign, it was written in clear haze in February.” The seal was “clear haze” and Zhu Wenyin
“Bingchen” is the first year of Qianlong’s reign in the Qing Dynasty (1736), when Zhang Ruoyi was 24 years old
This picture shows flowers with broken branches. The flowers are mainly line-drawn, showing the vitality of the flowers when they bloom. The leaves are haloed with thick and light ink, and the dripping ink effect shows that the leaves are fresh and full of water. Different brush and ink techniques enrich the picture and enhance the visual expression. The painting does not appear thin because of the simplicity of the shape. The whole painting is realistic, not only the leaves and stems are carefully sketched, but also the silk veins on the petals are meticulously displayed in neat ink, which shows the rigorous and realistic painting style of the author. As an early painting of the author, this picture still lacks the vivid charm of the strokes
