The Mandala of Yamataka

[Great Vajra mandala]

Great Vajra mandala is clear, with a height of 50 cm and a diameter of 75 cm. The old collection of the Qing Palace
This mandala is made of filigree enamel. The four sides of the pedestal are painted with blue, yellow, red, white and green, representing the earth, water, fire, air and wind. There is a treasure vase on the top of the hall. On the left and right are animal flags, surrounded by auspicious grass, flags, treasure vases, bodhisattvas and dharma protectors. This mandala is both an offering tool and a magic tool. Its huge size and colorful color reflect the superb level of China’s filigree enamel technology in the middle of the 18th century.
