End stone cloud pattern inkstone

[Duanshi Cloud Inkstone]

Duanshi Cloud Inkstone, in the early Qing Dynasty, is 14.9 cm long, 18.1 cm wide, and 3.2 cm thick
The inkstone is made of end stone, and the material is fine and moist. It is slightly polished with the shape of the stone, and there is still yellow fat at the lower end. There is a blue stone eye on the top of the inkstone surface. By this way, the inkstone craftsman carved floating cloud patterns on the left and right shoulders of the inkstone, creating an artistic conception of “floating clouds cover the moon”
This inkstone reflects the style of making inkstone in the early Qing Dynasty. The pattern layout is simple, the idea is exquisite, and the knife technique is smooth. It has reached the state of carving without trace, and has a high artistic level.
