[Wang Meilin bamboo crane drawing pen holder]
Wang Meilin bamboo crane drawing pen holder, clear, 12.2 cm high, 6.2 cm diameter
The pen holder is round, with three short feet, and the surface is a shallow relief landscape figure picture. Between the clouds, the mountains and rocks are high, the cliffs are flat, the streams are gurgling, and the pines and bamboos are set off. An old man and a young boy looked at the sky on the bank of the door with a half-covered firewood leaf, but there were white cranes outside the mountains. The picture is fresh, like a light ink sketch depicting the life of mountain residents. Its sabre technique is sophisticated. An excerpt from Song Sushi’s “The Story of Release Crane Pavilion” is engraved in the blank, which reads: “The mountain people have two cranes that are very tame and good at flying, while the Dan people look at the lack of the West Mountain and let them go. If they are like this, they can either stand in the paddy field or fly on the clouds.” and “Meilin system”
