Winter crown

[Winter crown]

Winter crown, clear, 30 cm high, 26 cm crown diameter, 16 cm crown diameter. The old collection of the Qing Palace
This crown is of round curly eave type, with red velvet on the top, black fumigated mink skin on the edge, and red cloth lining. In the middle of the crown, the copper gilded silk crown is divided into two layers, one phoenix on each layer, one large pearl on each layer, and one pink tourmaline on the crown top. The top is covered with red velvet. Five birch bark silver-plated phoenixes stand on the red velvet, and one golden Zhai is decorated at the back. Each phoenix is decorated with 1 opal and 30 small pearls (including top 1, eye 2, jaw 1, back 4, wing 2 and tail 20). The back of the crown is hung with a bunch of cyan silk tapers, a black smoked mink leather collar, and five elements and two pieces of beads. The middle of the bead is decorated with two pieces of gold and silk lapis knot inlaid with six pearls, and the end is decorated with red coral pendant. From the number of crowns and phoenixes, this should be the imperial crown worn by the emperor’s concubine in winter, but the form of “five elements and two” is the grade mark enjoyed by the empress or empress dowager in the imperial crown.
