Wu Dacheng’s seal script was first studied by Chen Huan, a scholar of classics. After middle age, he took part in ancient Zhou, and shaped his experience of epigraphy into various strokes, making his calligraphy extremely rich in gold and stone. This book is a poem written by Cen Shen of the Tang Dynasty, “Send Li Taibao and the imperial historian Chong Weibei, the envoy of the Northern Wei Dynasty, that is, Taiwei Guangbi Brother”. See Volume 200 of “Poems of the Tang Dynasty”. The brushwork is rigorous, precise and tight, and the lines are neat and straight. It has the unique ancient and regular appearance of Wu’s seal script.
