Dong Qichang imitated Liu Gongquan’s writing of the Lanting poem, and the ink was traced on the stone. Liu Gongquan’s book “Poems of Orchid Pavilion” was originally 37, and this book is 34. This volume of book was written on the fifth day of the forty-sixth year of the Wanli calendar of the Ming Dynasty (1618). There are Ou Tianlaoyu, Gao Shiqi, Chen Yuanlong, Emperor Qianlong and other postscripts; There are the seal of Qianlong’s internal government and the seal of Gao Shiqi, Zhang Zhao and others. This ink was originally collected in the Forbidden City
This inscription is engraved on the seventh column of the eight-pillar inscription of the Lanting Pavilion (Volume 7), with the seal of “Summer Resort”, “Treasure of Emperor Qianlong”, etc. The title of the single post is regular script: “Dong Qichang imitates Liu Gongquan to write Lanting poems”.
