[Axis of Fushan Jiangshencao Pavilion]

Axis of Jiangshencao Pavilion, Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, Fushan painting, silk ink brush, 176.7 cm in length and 49.5 cm in width
This painting is written in Du Fu’s poem “Duke Yan drives the Thatched Cottage in midsummer in vain, carries wine and food, and gets cold words”. “The firewood gate has been opened for a hundred years, and the deep grass pavilion in the May River is cold”. It is painted in the riverside grass pavilion hidden among the lush trees in the mountains, deep and remote, empty. The river water is deep and clear, the cliffs are steep, the plank bridge is winding, the composition is sparse and dense, and the flat is full of wonder, which is deep and cold
Fu Shan is famous for his calligraphy, and his paintings are not many. This painting is a representative work of his artistic idea of “clumsiness rather than cleverness, ugliness rather than flattery, separation rather than smoothness, truthfulness rather than arrangement”
This picture reads: “In the afternoon and summer, it is written in the deep grass and cold pavilion of the May River. It is sent to Lu Weng’s old people’s lines, Zong Xiao. It is true mountain.” It is sealed with “Fu Shan’s seal” and white text seal. Bingwu was the fifth year of Kangxi (1666), and Fu Shan was 62 years old
